Established in 1959, the Ministry of National Development (MND) is the key government ministry responsible for national land use planning and development.

We guide Singapore’s land use planning, urban redevelopment and building conservation, deliver affordable and quality public housing, develop an efficient construction industry to ensure a safe, quality and sustainable built environment, provide and manage parks, open spaces and the conservation of nature areas, maintain a high standard of primary food safety and animal and plant health, as well as protect consumer interest by raising the professionalism in the real estate agent industry.

Manager, Engagement & Partnerships

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualise and drive stakeholder engagement initiatives with the objective of growing a strong volunteer and alumni network for the MND Family
  • Work closely with MND Family agencies to develop and implement a holistic framework to build up engagement capabilities and culture
  • Effectively engage internal and external stakeholders to identify engagement needs, and lead initiatives to value-add to MND Family's stakeholder engagement efforts
  • Proactively scan and analyse the stakeholder engagement landscape to identify gaps and opportunities for engagement
  • Perform secretariat duties for relevant meetings

REQUIREMENTS

  • Corporate experience in stakeholder engagement/management is favourable
  • Excellent written, spoken communications and visual presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify areas of improvement, and the initiative to resolve them.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Resourceful and a self-starter with the initiative to drive and manage time-sensitive projects 
  • Strong event and project management skills and experience
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to manage diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Possess proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe (Photoshop).

Internships

The MND Internship Programme offers students who are interested in a career in MND and in the Civil Service, an enriching opportunity to discover your potential.

In the ten-to-twelve week internship at MNDHQ, you will be attached to one of MND's core functions, depending on your interest. Whichever path you choose, expect to realise your leadership potential in a dynamic environment where you will grow personally and professionally. More importantly, through the varied and challenging assignments, you will have a better understanding of MND's operations as well as gain greater insights into public policy-making.
